IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE, YOU ARE OUTDOORS. The first video in our EveryWear For Everyone series features Carlos Avalos and Brice Waller, the founders of my.ism and creatives from the streetwear industry in Los Angeles. Just over one year ago, my.ism Community Public Forum was created with the primary goal of fostering meaningful conversations among creatives, designers, and other people inside, and beyond, the streetwear space. 686 Becomes Climate Neutral Certified

686 is proud to announce that it is officially Climate Neutral Certified. "As we have seen our snowpack, winters and overall climate shift over our 29 year history, we believe that informed decisions and hard work can help reduce our environmental impact so that the snow is just as deep for our grandkids as it is for us. Recently, we've challenged ourselves to do more on our sustainability journey, and to do it faster so we’ve partnered with Climate Neutral to offset our 2020 carbon use and further reduce our future carbon footprint." - 686 President, Doug Sumi Working cooperatively with independent non-profit entity Climate Neutral, and using specific and accurate tools and info, 686 measured their entire 2020 carbon footprint and offset it...

Welcome to the Family Lonnie.

Lonnie Kosuko Kauk is not your typical climber. His roots run deep as an Ahwahnechee descendent in the Yosemite Valley, the son of a professional climber and a product of Mammoth Mountain Unbound Main Park jump line. Lonnie's unique influences have informed a unique vision that we are proud to align with.  His transition through the snowboard park, into the backcountry and then onto rock mirrors the journey of 686. After over a year of product testing and adventuring together, we are proud to formally welcome Lonnie to the 686 family.     The new Magic Line logo celebrates the 5.14c crack in Yosemite that Lonnies father, Ron Kauk, first climbed in 1996, and then Lonnie completed as the first ever redpoint in 2018. The logo also externalizes Lonnie’s perspective to “live life like a magic line” in...

100 Boardslides

A conversation with Stephon "Sterph" Deifer. All Imagery by Chip Proulx (@chipproulx)   I met Sterph six or seven years ago. He had this super raw, completely unperfected, yet perfect style and his seemingly off-the-cuff trick selection and mile wide smile caught my eye immediately. We put Sterph on flow right on the spot and over the years anytime we would pass through CO we would always be sure to invite to throw the invite out there to hang. For most riders, their personal priorities usually come first and invites are in great parts dismissed as they have other plans that take precedence from hanging out with a bunch of office-legged shredders. But I don’t think Sterph ever didn’t come through...
